  • Surgical procedures on the genital system (abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic hysterectomy, construction of neo-vagina, and vascular flaps)


Fellow competence in each area of FPMRS during the 3 years of fellowship were determined by the ACGME Program Requirements for Fellowship Education in FPMRS.

F1 = fellow completing year 1 of fellowship must demonstrate competence in

        • Evaluating and managing hematuria

        • Evaluating and managing painful bladder, including interstitial cystitis

        • Evaluating and managing neurogenic voiding dysfunction

        • Evaluating and treating urinary tract infections

        • Performing female pelvic exam, including POP-Q

F2 = fellow completing year 2 of fellowship must demonstrate competence in

        • Micturition and defecation disorders

        • Pelvic organ prolapse

        • Urinary incontinence

F3 = fellow completing year 3 of fellowship must demonstrate competence in

        • Genitourinary fistulas

        • Rectovaginal fistulas
